How can people without a Fluid account submit a work request?
Question: Can someone without a Fluid account submit a work request to a pipeline board?
Answer: Yes. To allow this, your Fluid instance must already be configured to use SSO authentication.
Once SSO is in place, you need to enable self-registration via SSO. Go to the Team Sign Up page (accessible from the Administration page) and switch on ‘Allow people to sign up to create their account via SSO’.
The pipeline board must also be configured as a Community Requests board. After this is set, the board’s public URL - which users will use to submit their requests - can be found on the board’s Settings page.
When a user without a Fluid account accesses this public URL, they will be redirected to your organisation’s SSO login. If authentication is successful, Fluid automatically creates an account for them, allowing them to complete and submit the work request.
New accounts created in this way are assigned the Collaborator licence by default.
Once their account is created, users can track the progress of their tickets from the Track Sent Items view.
