Resource Dashboards: Why project filters do not apply to the Capacity view
Edited
Question: Why are project filters ignored on the Resource Capacity view?
Answer: Project filters behave differently on the Resource Dashboard depending on the view selected.
In the Allocation view, project filters are applied because allocations are recorded at the resource–project level, allowing the dashboard to show how much effort a resource is assigned to specific projects.
In the Capacity view, capacity is defined only at the resource level (for example 1.0 or 0.5 headcount) and applies across all projects. There is no concept of capacity per project.
For this reason, project filters are intentionally ignored on the Capacity view, and only resource-based filters (such as team, role, or skills) are applied.
