If a financial month has been locked, am I still able to correct the forecasted revenue/expenses via a bulk‑edit upload for the closed month?
Question:
If a financial month has been locked, am I still able to correct the forecasted revenue or expenses via a bulk‑edit upload for the closed month?
Answer:
Yes, but only if you are a Financial Administrator, and only under specific lock‑date conditions.
Financial Admins can upload corrections for a closed financial month as long as the date is after the Capitalization Period lock date.
Users who do not have the Financial Admin role cannot upload corrections once the financial lock is in place.
Further Details
After a financial month is locked, non-financial admin users cannot upload corrected or updated revenue or expenses for that period. Any rows dated earlier than the financial lock date are automatically skipped when uploading the forecasts to Fluid using 'bulk edit'.
However, Financial Administrators have extended permissions:
The system checks their upload rows against the Capitalization Period lock date, where capitalization is enabled. If you do not have capitalization enabled in your Fluid site, this will not apply.
If the date is earlier than the Capitalization Period lock date: the row is skipped and will not be processed, even for financial admins.
If the date is earlier than the financial lock, but still after the Capitalization Period lock: the amendment entry will be processed and updated for Financial Administrators.
Financial Administrators can upload the corrected forecast directly from the Financial Administration page in Fluid.
